This July 4th, celebrations are going all out for Independence Day’s 250th anniversary. Leave your guests with a lasting memory of this special holiday by adding one or more of these perfect party favors to their goodie bags.

Star-Spangled Sunglasses

These patriotic sunglasses add flair to any backyard pool party. They are super simple to make; just allow enough time for the glue to dry and ensure no children use the glue gun. With luck, the sun will be shining brightly on July 4th, and your guests can enjoy trying out their new shades!

What You Need

  • Pack of sunglasses
  • Alphabet beads
  • Star beads
  • Red, white and blue beads
  • Hot glue gun

How to DIY

  1. Use the glue gun to place a small amount of glue on your chosen bead. Place on the frame gently.
  2. Continue with the rest of your beads, creating words like “USA” or “July 4th”.
  3. Allow the sunglasses to dry fully before placing them in the goodie bags or packaging.
Americana Artwork

This party favor makes for a great kid-friendly activity. The best way to organize it is to set aside a specific table where kids can come and make their handprint American flag. To ensure no one loses their artwork, remind children to write their name on the back with pencil.
